PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Sideline Cheerleading program combines the excitement of cheerleading with the values and principles of the Christian faith.
This program is designed to promote:
Physical fitness
Teamwork
Character development
Spiritual growth
Fellowship and friendship
Cheerleaders will participate in practices and games where they learn and perform:
Cheers
Tumbling
Stunting
TEAM STRUCTURE (CATHOLIC UNITED MODEL)
We use the Catholic United model, offering two program pathways:
Catholic United East (CUE)
- Typically schools that feed into Catholic Central High School
Catholic United West (CUW)
- Typically schools that feed into West Catholic High School
Families will choose CUE or CUW during registration
The number of participants will determine how many teams are formed within each program.
SAFETY FIRST
Cheering at football games is exciting and builds school spirit, but safety is always the top priority.
All participants are expected to follow these guidelines:
General Safety Rules
- HAVE FUN!!!
- Cheerleaders must remain in the designated sideline area
- Cheerleaders are not allowed on the football field unless directed by a coach
- To leave the field area, a cheerleader must be accompanied by a coach or parent/guardian
Adult-to-adult transfer required
Key Dates
- Registration: May 15 - June 15
- Practices Begin: Monday following the 1st Tuesday of August
- Regular Season: Games typically start after Labor Day
GAME PARTICIPATION
Cheer teams may perform at the following games:
Flag Football games (Saturdays)
5th/6th Grade games (Saturdays)
7th/8th Grade games (weekdays)
Coaches will communicate which games each team will attend.

COMMUNICATION
All communication will take place through TeamSnap.
Parents are strongly encouraged to:

Stay informed about schedule changes, alerts, and cancellations
TRANSPORTATION
- Families are responsible for transportation to and from all practices and games
- No school-provided transportation is included
PARTICIPATION & SAFETY EXPECTATIONS
- Practices may be physically demanding
- Coaches will not require any athlete to perform beyond their ability
- Parents must notify coaches of any:
- Injuries
- Physical limitations
- Cheerleaders are expected to communicate any concerns with coaches
