Winter I Season โ€“ Program at a Glance


๐Ÿ€ School-Based League (Grades 3โ€“8)

  • Each school forms and manages its own teams.
  • Minimum 7 players required to form a team.
  • If a school cannot form a full roster, GRACEAC will help create a combined team.
  • Leagues offered for 3rdโ€“8th grade.

โญ Season Snapshot

5thโ€“8th Grade

  • 8-game regular season + single-elimination tournament
  • Standings & scores recorded
  • Practice limits: 3 practices/week (max 4.5 hrs)
  • Typical game days:
    • Grades 7โ€“8 โ†’ Mon, Wed & Sat
    • Grades 5โ€“6 โ†’ Tue, Thu & Sat

3rd & 4th Grade

  • 5โ€“6 regular-season games (no standings or tournament)
  • 2 events/week: 1 practice + 1 game, or 2 practices early
  • Early-season instructional rules:
    • Weeks 1โ€“2 โ†’ No turnovers for common violations
    • Week 3+ โ†’ Normal rules enforced (loss of possession)

  • Doors open 30 minutes before the first game.
  • No personal basketballs allowed.
  • No jewelry permitted.

Weather Cancellations

  • Weekday decisions by 3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday decisions by 7:30 a.m.
  • If weather improves, games may still be played.
